I recently completed what I feel is an excellent book about executive decision making, project selection, and project portfolios. The book, A Fish in Your Ear, authored by Micheal Menard, provides an enlightening look into the subject of project selection and how the process can be improved.
The CIO journey from the technology leader to a fully bonafide senior business leader is well on its way… and will prove to be of value to the business leaders and CIO jointly.
On October 3, HP held their Securities Analyst Meeting, which I attended in person at the Concourse Exhibition Center in San Francisco. This is a day, like all major public companies have, where senior management discusses their plans for the future with the major institutional investors.
