Sales Professional
Senior Account Executive needed for rapidly growing computer systems reseller. As part of our outside team you will be responsible for sales of value added services and products to an assigned territory with support from an inside team and telemarketing team. At least 4 years sales experience required, preferably in the hi-tech field. Presales Technical Consultant

Duties and Responsibilities:
Possess in-depth technical understanding of HP and EMC server and storage solutions including performance, functionality, operation, and integration in Windows and Unix environments.

Analyze and fully understand the customer requirements in order to deliver presentations, demonstrations, and solutions that address the major concerns and issues of customers. These solutions will include storage arrays, Windows servers, Unix servers, high availability and backup solutions. These solutions should abide by the manufacturer’s best practice methodologies.

Uses knowledge of technology, products, processes, industry expertise, and consultative sales skills to educate customers on value of storage infrastructure and management.

Leverages industry/technical background to create high-level solutions that utilize existing assets while delivering long-term value.

Develop preliminary project/services/support plan

Maintain and promote vendor relations for products, solutions and services

Stay current with developments in the industry through professional associations, trade journals, networking.


Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements:
5-8 years of presales experience in the IT industry working with enterprise computer hardware in data center environments, especially HP, EMC, and NetApp storage solutions

Conditions of Position:
Local and interstate travel required (approximately 25-50% of time)
Must have valid driver license

Required Skills and Competencies:
Extensive EMC or HP storage experience
SAN implementation experience in a customer or lab environment
Experience with backup and recovery solutions from HP, Veritas, and Legato in a SAN environment
Experience with medium and complex data migrations and capacity planning
Windows System Administration experience
Organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience in qualifying sales opportunities and establishing competitive product positioning
Experience selling, designing and implementing complex solutions for customers
Reasonable understanding of customers' industries or ability to acquire knowledge quickly
Broad understanding of platforms and applications
Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, especially PowerPoint, in addition to Visio and Project
Ability to influence others to achieve results

Desired Skills and Competencies:
Experience with clustering technologies from HP, Veritas
Linux experience/background
Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and implementation experience desired
Experience in storage filer applications such as NAS (CIFS, NFS)
Experience with Network Appliance products
