Customer was a long time HP 3000 user with a customer application. When HP announced the discontinuance of the HP 3000, they chose to port their application to UNIX. They also decided to consolidate server operations from an internationally distributed approach to a single high availability cluster. STA provided all design and implementation for the products and services to facilitate this migration, including MC Serviceguard, Oracle 9iRAC and HP SAN technology. The customer utilized InfoMap, ApplicationMap and PSMap solution sets from STA.
The customer was experiencing application performance issues with a core student registration application. STA designed a solution to provide server and storage upgrades within the minimal budget that existed. This resulted in a 400% performance increase and allowed the College to eliminate backlog and non-responsive telephone and on-line registration requests. The customer utilized InfoMap, ApplicationMap and PSMap solution sets from STA.
The customer runs SAP applications and Oracle database on 13 HP-UX servers and EMC storage. STA defined a server and storage consolidation strategy that reduced operating costs, simplified system management and boosted application performance. The environment was staged in STA’s Tech Center to accomplish the bulk of the migration in a non-disruptive manner. This resulted in a rapid 2-day production implementation! The customer utilized InfoMap, ApplicationMap and PSMap solution sets from STA.
The customer had backup policies and procedures that did not meet current business requirements. Additionally, they were operating two backup applications, which they deemed a difficult strategy to support for the future. STA provided Professional Services assistance to implement the Veritas NetBackup software application and define and document revised operational procedures that more accurately reflected the customers current and planned operating environment. The customer utilized PSMap solution sets from STA.
STA provided infrastructure design, implementation and roll out as this Credit Union transitioned from the HP 3000 platform to UNIX running Oracle. We created a high availability fail over solution to ensure the application was available to users and customers on a 24x7 basis. Our solution included HP servers, HP storage, MC Serviceguard HA software, replication software, etc. The customer utilized InfoMap, ApplicationMap and PSMap solution sets from STA.
